How will your final grade be calculated?
Our final grade will be calculated based on our points in Gradian. Upon receiving 5,985 points we will automatically receive an A in the class. 2,200 will earn a C, and 5,355 points is a B.
What happens if you don’t complete one of the major projects?
If you don’t complete one of the major projects, you will automatically receive a D in the class which means you must retake it.

Gradian is a site that acts as a way to submit all of our work in the form of links, and allows us to see how many points we have to make sure we reach our goal.

What is the attendance policy?
We should be in class everyday, and will lose 50 points for an unexcused absence. The qualifications for an excused absence follow the GSU Attendance Policy.
What is one way you can lose points?
We can lose points by missing class or coming to class unprepared.
What are my office hours, and how do you make an appointment to see one of us outside of class?
Office hours are T/Th 9-10:30 am. We can make an appointment by emailing you. Appointments can also be for Skype of Google Hangout.

We can earn participation credit through “quality and purposeful” extra work through the semester. We can also earn them by completing the class preparation. The guidelines are here.
How many points can you earn by participating in or organizing a study group session?
20 points can be earned by participating in a group study session.
How can you be assured of earning an “A” in this course?
You can earn an A by completing all of the Extra Points tasks, coming to class everyday, completing class prep, and getting more than the minimum points on all projects. An A is earned by having more than 5,985 points.
What are the minimum requirements for earning a passing grade of “C”?
2,200 points will earn a passing grade in the class. These points will be earned by getting the minimum points for all major projects, completing class prep, and having good attendance.

Stop by during office hours or ask before/after class for information on documenting participation whenever you have a question.
